About Your Business
Who are you, what’s your business called, and what do you do?
I'm Rowe McGregor, Director of bbi Wood Products, We are New Zealand’s largest Plywood and Hardwood Decking Importer.
What was going on before we started working together?
We did all our FSC chain of custody in-house using a number of people, which at times became very confusing. There are a lot of things within FSC Certification and CoC, and you don’t know what you don’t know, particularly when it comes to outsourcing and tracking. We were handling this internally, but it was a big job and certainly wasn’t easy to keep on top of.

What did we help you with?
We engaged Mus to take over all our FSC processes, this was a great decision and as a business owner I felt very comfortable with Mus looking after this process. He re-wrote our FSC Manual and ensured that our training and processes were up to date, he has taken all of the confusion and guesswork out of this area of our business.
How did things change after we started working together?
Mus took ownership of the whole CoC system and got the necessary team members on board to ensure we had strong and robust systems in place. Processes were clear, relevant staff were trained, and the confusion was gone.

What’s been the best outcome so far?
As a business owner I have nothing to worry about with Mus looking after our FSC Certification and he keeps me in the loop when it is needed. We are able to service our customers’ FSC needs without fear of missing a step, and our internal process are much clearer and efficient.

Mus has a very good reputation within the New Zealand industry. Our customers know that with Mus and Supreme Consulting overseeing our certification, that what we are doing is correct and following CoC, this helps us to gain trust and win business.
